Mayor Kit P. Nieto, now serving as the Mayor, was previously the Mayor of Cainta for three consecutive terms, elected in 2013, 2016, and 2019.

 

During his nine-year tenure, Mayor Kit was instrumental in elevating Cainta to the status of the richest municipality in the Philippines. Under his leadership, Cainta gained national recognition, being named the Overall Most Competitive Municipality by the National Competitiveness Council in the years 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

 

The municipality also consistently ranked 1st in Government Efficiency, Economic Dynamism, and Infrastructure during those years—solidifying Cainta’s reputation as a benchmark for excellence in local governance.
